A Hamlet (Lucky) Bennett designed oceanfront estate in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, air conditioning, and a gourmet kitchen with black granite counters, stainless Wolf appliances and Koa cabinetry.
The main entrance is composed of spectacular koi ponds. Bedrooms are furnished with Tommy Bahama Lexington furniture: two kings, three queens, and a room with two twin beds. Slate floors run through the common areas and bedrooms.
The kitchen carries a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Wolf oven, wine fridge, dishwasher and glass electric cooktop. There is a Koa dining room, a Koa entertainment center, two wet bar areas, a laundry room, and a billiard table leveled and maintained annually.
Most breathtaking is the lanai overlooking the ocean, with a large sofa, two Koa chairs, a four person tall Koa dining table, and exterior stainless appliances including a 36 inch barbecue, ice fridge and sink. Spot seasonal humpback whales while sipping your morning Kona coffee.
Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, beach shoes, coolers, boogie boards, surf boards, SUPs and a plentiful assortment of snorkel gear. All of it is free for guests to use during their stay, on a first come first served basis.
The estate
The oceanview estate next door, six bedrooms and sleeps twelve. Both homes sit behind the same gate and share the oceanfront lawn, freshwater pool, spa, koi ponds and sandy beach areas. Families and groups often take both together.
